Unique Diaper Cakes:
Unique diaper cakes are those baby cakes, which look attractive and simultaneously fulfill most of the requirements of a baby. They come in different shapes and designs. Attractive Features:
Unique diaper cakes come with several attractive features that may please a new mother, when her family members and friends present her with such gifts:
1. Diapers are in a number ranging from 40-100 and are easy to use. A person has to open the ribbons and diapers are handily available for use.
2. Unique diaper cakes carry a variety of other baby products than just diapers. These include diaper creams, baby powder, baby caps, layette set, cotton swabs, baby shampoo, teddy bear, towels, sleeping gowns, baby bottles, baby wash clothes, receiving blankets and baby toys such as rattles, bath toys, and plastic keys.
3. The most prominent feature of unique diaper cakes lies in their resemblance to an actual cake, which creates an entire atmosphere of celebration and excitement.

Even after washing a couple times, these prefolds weren’t very fluffy, but they did shrink considerably (which is good, since they were huge when they arrived). They seem absorbent enough, but not remarkably so. I’d buy them again, especially for the price.

My son has special needs and will not be potty training until he is older than three. I wanted to find cloth diapers that would fit an older child. Even though he is two years old and under 30 lbs now, I ordered the toddler size 30-45 pound size. They are too big for my little guy. I think they will be great in a year or more but for now I can only use them when we are at home without a cover. I don’t even know what cover I will be able to fit them inside in the future. Generally they are soft and absorbent. I would buy the brand again.

I have recieved these and the stitching quality is really good, and the fabric is really soft. I can’t attest to how well they work yet because our child isn’t here to try them on.
there should be a local diaper service in your area they will pick them up not sure if the sell them or not but they clean the diaper and deliver. this is what i did for my kids when babies. i bought mine a walmart yes 100 percent cotton. ,usually 2 packages of them do great. do not throw them away when soiled i rinsed them out in toilet if baby has pooped. then i alway had a 1.00 bucket . dont need diaper pails too expensive and they get to stinking. horrible for the air. and your nose. well any how. use a dreft and only small amount of bleach when you use bleach to wash diapers do not soak too long eventually eat holes in the diapers. always use baby powder helps keep baby dryer . i have also noticed when a baby in cloth diapers they potty train much faster. have fun .
Hon, when my children were babies I made them diapers out of flannel, 100% cotton flannel can be rather inexpensive and is wonderful for diapers, they also can be found in wonderful patterns and lovely colors. I made mine using a prefolded diaper for a pattern adding 1.5 inches on both ends and both sides to make sure that they won’t shrink too much in the hot water wash. Take the measurement of the pre-folded diaper and add 3 inches plus 1 inch for seams. Use three pieces of flannel to make the basic diaper then fold 1 more piece in thirds and sew on top in center of basic diaper to be the absorbent panel. These diapers worked great for nighttime and naps and for overall absorbency. E-mail me if the instructions are not clear enough to you. Good luck and have fun making them and using them. Love and Aloha and lots of chocolate kisses, Kui
Bela Bunskees are wonderful! They have elastic around legs, front, and back and use snaps rather than pins and velcro. I love these, they are made in the USA and very cute and absorbent. They will also try to accomidate your color requests and occassionaly print request. They are great for heavy wetters too! I was using Motherease and switched to these. Call 315-626-6291 or try ebay. However, they are hard to find so I always call to order. Good luck!
I bought flannel sheets from garage sales to make the diapers for my cousin’s babies. Walmart is the only place that I know that carries double sided flannel that is used for making diapers. It is more absorbant than single sided flannel.
Terry makes a good inner lining. If you go to Yahoo Groups, there are a couple of diaper making lists that could help you find supplies such as Aplix (softer than Velcro) as well as alternative fabrics. There is also a yahoo group that just discusses cloth diapers and pros and cons of various brands. Not all diapers work for all babies due to shape and urine output as well as the hardness of your water. Most are made by Work at Home Moms. I’ve included a link to a pattern that is successful for many. I would have loved this pattern as I wouldn’t have had to make 3 sizes.
Note: most cotton diapers sold at stores are not suitable for diapering. They sell them for burp cloths. Urine flows right through them.
