Question by MC: What words would you use to describe KW from Where the Wild Things Are?
I’m writing a short story, and I’m kind of inspired by KW from Where the Wild Things Are. Can you tell me any words that would describe her personality? Her voice? She reminds me of a lot of people I know, but I can’t think of how to describe her.

-Thanks

Why is my baby kicking so low?

Question by ♥ Baby kisses ♥: Why is my baby kicking so low?
I am 22 weeks 2 days pregnant. Last night I felt the baby moving and kicking. Sometimes they baby will kick low and sometimes he/she will kick a little high. Is the baby moving his legs or could it be something else. Where at this point should the baby’s head be? Near my belly button? Lower? Higher? I have the book called “what to expect when you are expecting” but it isn’t much help with where your baby really is at this point. I am also not really showing yet. I am alittle overweight in the tummy area and alittle worried as to why I’m not showing. When did you start to show?

Best answer:

Answer by baby boy due in 4 days!
it shows a little later in “bigger framed” women, like me.
i am a little bit overweight in my belly area and i didn’t show until about 20-25 weeks.
if your baby hasn’t turned head down yet, it could be the baby kicking low.
if he did turn, then he could be punching you low!
lol
you can also feel hiccups easier when they’re head down.
it feels like rythmical small kicks almost.
LOL.

good luck mommy!

Lesson Plan for 2-3 year old’s? What’s your opinion!?

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
by dbking

Question by brown eyed girl!: Lesson Plan for 2-3 year old’s? What’s your opinion!?
The theme is reading is magical. I will read to the 2-3 year olds “Brown bear, brown bear what do you see?” at second circle. But at first circle I will explain to the kids that we are going to make puppets and they will use the puppets to help me read story at second circle! They will get to pick which animal they want to color- bear,horse,duck,frog.. etc then they can glue googly eyes for their eyes on their picture and then they will glue their picture onto a Popsicle stick. While reading brown bear the kids will wiggle their animal when it is mentioned… I was thinking they can even make the sound of their animal? It’s a good book because the kids can recognize if their animal is next or know beforehand that their animal is coming up.. for example, it says ” Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see? I see a red bird looking at me.” then the kids who colored the bird can start to wiggle their puppet. I don’t think I will emphasis to the kids that their bears have to be brown or their horses have to be blue. It’s not a big issue. I was also thinking about using an actual bear puppet to help keep the kids engaged?
What do you think about the lesson? Can anything else be added? Is it too easy or uninteresting? Any advice/ ideas are much appreciated Thanks!

i think it is a great idea. if they have trouble with it, just explain it and if they fight over what animal to be, draw pics of them and let them pick theirs out of a hat. i love that idea
