LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

We started using these diapers when my 1 year old developed a horrible blistery rash while using Huggies. We tried cream after cream without success. Then we decided to switch the diapers. We purchased these at our local health food store at a hefty price. But within days the rash was gone. We have tried to return to Huggies but the rash returned as well. I am so happy to find the diapers at Amazon for a fraction of the price. I am a 7th Generation believer. It makes me feel better that I am using something with less chemicals on my daughters sensitive skin. I highly recomend these diapers!

I love the 7th Generation diapers. We use cloth diapers most of the time on our now 14 month old, but when we travel and the occasional night, we use 7th Gen. No blowouts, no rashes, and I love knowing they are just that much better for the Planet and her hiney.

Love these Diapers!

I really like these diapers. Especially since I cloth diaper at home. I was travelling to the mainland for the summer. It isnt always convenient to cloth diaper while travelling. So I ordered these to be shipped to my in laws house. They came super fast. And I am not worried about them hurting the environment. They are plain, but I dont need designs. I would recommend them. If they would ship to Hawaii, I would order again.

I know there are tons of complaints against these diapers. But I must say to my children, were great diapers. We used pampers since my son was born. I was completely in love with Pee indicator used to put on swaddlers. I was angry when removed, and then found that the diapers are heavily scented. I felt as if they had just arrived from baby powder factory. When switching to a dry version of Max, I noticed the smell disappeared. I never had a loss of these children and my son is a super soaker. He never Diaper two. They are also thinner, so it fits more in the diaper bag, diapers, trolleys, drawer changing table, or what you are. My son will be a year now and we intend to use the first versions of these cruisers. They feel as soft as the original swaddlers to see how it can be troublesome for children with sensitive skin. My son has never had a problem with it.

Our boy was born in May of this year – and we came home from the hospital with these diapers. At the beginning we wanted to try Huggies as well, just to compare the two products. From the get-go, the Huggies leaked, so we threw out the package immediately, and went back to using these Pampers. We have had no problems with these diapers, and keep ordering more. I have been using pampers swaddlers since Jan 2010 when my son was born so I have used both the original and now the dry max and have no complaints. I consider them high quality and I am very happy with their performance and I have tried several other name brand diapers that I was not happy with. Not once have they ever leaked or caused a rash and my son seems completely happy with them as well. For my family pampers has been the diaper for us!!

After reading all the negative reviews, I must say that I was very skeptical about these diapers. However, after having used them, I can’t say that they are either very good or very bad. We’ve used a wide range of diapers for our two kids, and this one does the job adequately. A small issue I have with these are that they don’t seem to hold as much pee as the Cruisers, which is probably enough to cause me to look elsewhere. Especially considering that this new line is advertised as “Dry Max”. I’ll stick with my Huggies and Kirkland brands.

Better than I thought

I like these diapers despite my concerns based on some reviews. The wetness indicator works well, they are roomy for our 8 week baby (13 lbs), and they keep him dry comparing to other diapers that do not have a mesh inside.

No rash for us, but there are other issues

It was very unnecessary for Pampers to come out with Dry Max technology. The previous baby dry variety were perfect. We didnt get a rash but these diapers are still weird. They are thin, have a purple tint to them, and smell sweet. All of that is so unnatural to me.

They do not hold pee well at all. They get very heavy and you really need to change more often as a result. They are also inferior night time diapers. My daughter would wake up and have leaked out every day for three days onto her sheet. I really hope these go away.

Swaddle Waddle Waddle

I received both the Pampers Cruisers Dry Max and the Pampers Swaddlers Dry Max Diapers from Vine. A good friend’s daughter was the perfect size for these (18 lbs) and she was thrilled to try them out. The Swaddlers fit perfectly, but the Cruisers were (as to be expected) a little big. After a few weeks of use, her reaction was lukewarm. Since the baby was starting to be a little more active, the Swaddlers were a little too constraining. She ended up only using them around bedtime. The Cruisers were, however, still a little big but she thinks once the baby grows into them, they will be great.

I also think it’s adorable how the Swaddlers have pictures of baby Sesame Street characters, while the Cruisers show the characters a little more grown up.

I would recommend the lower size Swaddlers, but once the baby starts to get more active, they may not be the best choice.

After reading so many negative reviews, I decided that I have to write a positive one. I haven’t had any problems with the new Dry Max Pampers, and I have a number of friends who use them and haven’t had any problems. My daughter leaked all the time at night when I used the old Swaddlers, but she doesn’t leak with the Dry Max. Sure, they have a smell to them, but so do the old Swaddlers. It’s really not that bad! All diapers have some smell to them, and Pampers still smell better than a lot of other brands. As far as diaper rashes go, I have friends whose babies got diaper rashes from the old Swaddlers too. Some babies are just very sensitive to certain diapers. I don’t think the problem is as bad as some people are making it out to be. Pampers would recall the diapers if that many babies got severe diaper rashes from them. I do feel bad for the babies who were affected, though. Overall, I think the Swaddlers Dry Max are great. Pampers are still the best diapers to me!

No rashes but leakier than the old Swaddlers

I have a 3-year old and a newborn, both boys. With the 3-year old we were loyal Pampers users, and rightfully so. The Swaddlers and later the Cruisers always worked well for us. They never leaked and were comfortable for my son (or at least he never cried and there was never any indication of discomfort). 

With our newborn, we’ve had to use the new Drymax diapers since, as numerous folks have pointed out, the old Swaddlers aren’t available any more. Unfortunately, these are much more prone to leakage. Not more than other brands, mind you, as the leakage prompted us to try CVS diapers and a much more expensive eco-diaper (I can’t recall the name). Neither could do better than the Pampers, and both were bulkier. So compared to other brands, the Drymax is still competitive. But in our minds it’s clearly inferior to the old Swaddlers.

Yes this actually happenned . I was disgusted, and told the parents they were rude and disgusting for doing so. this was a dollar restarant, but still! Trying to eat people! I did not even realize the father was doing this as I saw him tending to the baby. He put the diaper on the floor, and I could smell it! After I said my peice, the parents shot back with “Tell them to put in a changing table!” like it is up to everyone else to provide a poo changing station. I demanded my money back for a half eaten dinner and left- I believe I am right in this, girlfriend says we should have just moved tables, i could not seeing paying my hard earned money to eat in a place that allows poo on their tables. Cute baby though, and not even crying.

No, there are restrooms for a reason, although the place is a bit at fault for not having a changing table. And if not then they should have gone to their car to do it.

Protect Your Baby From Diaper Rash

Diapers let parents take their babies out without having to worry about them dirtying their clothes. They are comfortable for both the parents and the tots. But some times, this can backfire. Baby’s soft bottom is then converted into irritating swamp. Babies cry and their bottoms itch. But the good news is that most of the times, the rash clears up within a day. But in certain cases, it can linger on for a few days. This can keep your child irritated for days on end. But you can follow some simple home remedies and keep away the rash,

Here are some simple tips that can avoid or treat the diaper rash:

• Use gel disposable diapers: If you choose the disposable diapers, choose the diapers with the latest absorbent gelling material. These diapers remove the dampness away from the skin than the other types of diapers. They also keep the skin’s pH level more acidic, thus decreasing the chances of suffering from diaper rashes. All the leading brands of diapers have this gelling material.

• Wash the cloth diapers with vinegar: If you choose to go in for reusable cloth diapers, rinse them in vinegar at the time of wash to change the pH and reduce the chances of diaper rash. Add a quarter cup of plain white kitchen vinegar to each load of diapers during the final rinse cycle of the wash. Avoid using the fabric softeners during the washing of the diapers because they put a coating on the diapers that prevents them from absorbing as well,

• Apply warm cornstarch: Instead of using the modern talcum powders available for treatment of diaper rash, use cornstarch. Take cornstarch and spread it out on the baking pan and warm it in the oven at the temperature of 105 degrees Fahrenheit for about ten minutes till it is completely dry. Test the temperature first and then apply it gently to the baby’s bottom. Cornstarch is as smooth as the commercially available talcum powder but is cheaper and more effective.

• Blow dry the bottom: Keep the infected area dry and clean to speed up the healing. Do not use a towel to clean the area as it can be very abrasive. Instead use a hair dryer set on low or cool for three minutes to dry the infected area.

• Avoid using diapers: The best solution is to avoid using diapers so that the skin can air itself as much as possible to promote healing. But if it is not possible, keep the diaper under the baby when it is lying on its stomach. This can be done when it is sleeping or any other times when it is still.

• Choose paper instead of plastic: If the baby has excess leakage, which can lead to diaper rash, keep a paper towel between its skin and diaper. The paper towel helps in stopping the leakage without blocking air circulation. The drawback of plastic is that it seals the moisture thus increasing infection.

• Breastfeed the baby: Babies who have been breastfed since birth show a lower incidence and severity of diaper rash than those who have been fed baby formula. The effects of dietary influence are seen even after the babies are weaned.

• Avoid soap and baby wipes: Stop using soap and baby wipes if your child has the rash. Commercially available wipes contain alcohol that can aggravate the rash and cause more pain. Some of them can also cause the rash due to the presence of certain chemicals. Soap is very harsh on the sensitive skin and the baby should be washed without soap if it is suffering from diaper rash.

you can use more than one cloth with thick borders and cotton to absorb sewn on so it doesn’t clump. Also use velcro to stick to the plastic. Use disinfectant for the plastic to clean and you need more imagination to make it work.

Use during the day and at night I use little movers

I used to use pampers but then they put the drymax that caused horrible diaper rash for my child. So we quit using them. Then I decided to try huggies snug and dry. They are decent for during the day time but not night time. My child is almost a year and I only put these on during the day because there is no overnight protection. He doesn’t seem to get diaper rash which is good and they are inexpensive during the day. (extra bonus) — At night time we use Huggies little movers and he has been walking up every morning dry for 3 months straight! I even purchased the huggies swimmers for the pool recently and they work great too!

HUGGIES Beats Pampers

From the time my baby was born until she was about 20 pounds, I used the Pampers Swaddlers New Baby. However, Pampers does not make those diapers in Size 3 or bigger sizes. So, I compared the next Pamper in the lineup with Huggies Snug and Dry, and Huggies were far superior at this stage. They are softer, do not leak, are not plasticy feeling like the comparable Pampers.

I will forever stay with Pampers for new babies and Huggies after that.

At 25 cents a diaper you can’t get much cheaper than this. Not to mention its the largest bulk size that I’ve been able to find. My wife loves having the 150 diapers at hand and I love saving all the money, my son however doesn’t really care for them though since he just poops in them!

These are nearly 50% cheaper per diaper than a small pack you would pick up at a drug store or something.

Love the convenience of subscribe & save for diapers

My son will be 3 in a few months and for about a year now we’ve used the size 4, Huggies box of 150 through Subscribe & Save. The box was just the right size to last a month, so we were usually down to the last 5-10 diapers when the next box arrived at our doorstep. So convenient! I was sorry to learn that this particular item is being discontinued (not sure if it’s the size or the availability through subscribe and save) but as it happens we’re far enough in the potty training that I needed to cancel it anyway. Definitely worth doing again if we had another one.

Only diapers we will buy

When I had my daughter I vowed that we would not be above using generic store-brand diapers for her to help cut back on costs. And for a while we did use store brands – several of them (Walmart, Target, CVS, Toys R’ Us), before discovering that none of them were quite as good as the name brands. A few of them were horrible at absorbing liquids, and a few of them just fit very awkwardly, like they were not cut to fit the contours of a baby’s body.

Pampers and Luvs I dislike because they are scented and therefore not great for babies with sensitive skin – they constantly caused diaper rash.

Which brought us to Huggies. Not only do I find the Huggies to have a far-superior fit (they are shaped to the curves of a baby’s legs) but they are also unscented and most importantly super absorbent. They may not be as cheap as the store brands but knowing my daughter is wearing a diaper that absorbs well and fits great is what matters to me. We’ve used Huggies since stage one (including the over-night ones) and have never had any problems with leaks or diaper rash – they are the only diapers I will buy.
