Baby Care Accessories That Relate to the Safety of Your Baby!
What are the aspects of child rearing that are most important to the modern parents of today?
When we look at this issue, we can only symphatise with the modern parents of today because most of them are working or running some full time jobs. There is so little time to spend with the children and babies, if both parents are working , and where the mother is not working, taking care of a baby is a demanding full time job itself that keeps the mother busy at all times. Indeed, taking care of a baby is a 24 hour job, because even a baby can wake up at any time during the night when the parents are trying to catch up on sleep, and so the parents are basically on call the entire day and night.
That is why we need modern tools and equipment, even toys and apparatus that can help parents raise up children in a safe and healthy environment, and still be able to shower love and affection on the little children. With these modern conveniences, parents of today can breathe a little easier, and get some help from these tools to raise up their children in easier ways.
First and foremost, as parents, we need to care for the health of the baby, and secondly, we need to care for the safety of the baby. So our modern tools and aids to help raise a baby are concentrated towards these two important points. By using these tools and aids, parents can still get to work in their professions, and raise up a healthy child. These tools and aids are what we call Baby Care accessories.
Top on the list of baby care accessories will be the accessories that relate to the health of the baby – these are the baby’s health reporting tools and instruments that monitor the baby safety. Most of these tools and aids are fashioned with the baby in mind, and are atractively designed to please the baby’s mind after a lot of research. Most of these accessories are therefore shaped in the form of toys, of lovable animal shapes and in bright colors that can bring a smile on the baby’s face. In this way, the baby does not fear seeing bulky ugly looking instruments but will even enjoy these instruments as if they are their own toys. These tools help parents to monitor the health of the baby and their safety all the time, and therefore free the parents of some important time for them to run their work and jobs, while their babies can grow in a healthy and safe environment.
Baby care accessories that relate to the safety of the baby are:

Pool Safety For Children

Owning a swimming pool in your house or garden can be a great way to have fun for yourself and indeed your whole family. However, despite that, it can also be rather dangerous if you have children about. If you have the patience, you ought to wait until your children are at least five years old or more before you put a swimming pool in your garden. On the other hand, if you already have a swimming pool, there are ways that you can protect your family.
One thing you should always remember is to never, ever, allow your children to be alone near your pool. Children tend to be attracted to water and all it takes is a second for them to fall into the swimming pool. If you and your children are at your pool side and you have to leave the area for a second, you should always take your children with you.
To be completely safe, you must always make sure that you have loads of safety equipment around your pool at all times. Safety items are essential to have around, as they could save the life of a child or anyone else who can’t swim.
You ought to invest in a shepherd’s crook as well, as you can use it to drag someone out of the water. Having a telephone at your poolside is also a good investment, since you can quickly call for help in the event of an emergency.
If you don’t already have a fence around your pool you should think about getting one right away. A fence is a useful way to keep children away from your swimming pool. If you have a protective fence up, you won’t have to worry about little children falling into it, while you are away from the pool. When you put your fence up, you ought to always make sure that it’s at least six feet high with a locking gate. In this way, no one can get into the pool without a key, which you have to keep on you at all times.
You could learn CPR as well. Even though you hopefully will not ever have to use it. It is always great to know CPR in the event of someone falling into your pool that is unable to swim. Whenever you have people you know can’t swim at your pool, you should always stay near them, so you can react instantly if they fall in. A minute can make all the difference to saving someone’s life.
Always bear in mind that swimming is fun, although you have to always think in terms of safety first. Once you have finished using your pool for the day, make sure that you lock up the poolside well – and padlock the gate tight so no one can get in too.

Baby Safety Gates: Keeping Your Child Safe Is Crucial
April 29, 2010 by Kendra Dumont

Today there are many items that parents will need to purchase when their new arrival begins to be able to move around the home of their own volition. One particular item that all new parents need to consider purchasing is baby safety gates. But as there so many different ones available it can leave them feeling somewhat bewildered as to which one is the right one to purchase.
In this article we take a look at some of the things that one should be looking for when it comes to purchasing safety gates for ones home. By keeping these things in mind then you will ensure that you purchase the right kind of gate that will protect your baby.
1. First off you need to decide whether the baby safety gates you purchase for your home are pressure or permanently mounted. The biggest advantage to going for those that are permanently fixed in position is that they are much stronger. So there is far less risk of your child as they get bigger and stronger of being able to pull them away from their positions.
Plus when it comes to those gates that are in a fixed position they are fitted with mechanisms that should the central part (the gate) need to be removed it can. So there is no need to undo the whole system.
2. The next feature to look at when buying baby safety gates is what sort of latch system has been installed of which there are two types to choose from. With the dual latch system it allows you the chance to open the gate using only one hand. Whilst the other sort of latch comes with a pedal situated at the base of the gate which you can depress when your hands are full to open it.
3. If you situate your gate in a position where light is limited then it is worth thinking about the models that have a light on them that turns on when within sensor range or when touched. This can help you to avoid those problems of trying to carry your child upstairs when light levels are low and ensuring that you don’t walk into the gate.
4. Another thing that you should be looking for when it comes to buying the right kinds of baby safety gates for a home is the height. Choose the kind that won’t impede a normal adults movement but will prevent the child as they get bigger and stronger form climbing over them. Choose those gates which are don’t measure less than 3/4 of your child’s height when standing up.

Don’t Short Your Baby on Car Seat Protection
February 22, 2010 by Frank Froggatt
Parents go out of their way to choose the fitting car seat for their baby. They go completely out of their way to make sure that the little precious passenger they are bringing along is sufficiently protected. Yet currently , the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that, according to a multi-year study, misuse occurred in 3 quarters of the baby safety seats inspected.
The results of this study conclude that 3 of 4 parents put their children at risk while in vehicles unknowingly because they do not use the restraints properly. The most common mistakes found were loose harness straps and safety belt attachments. These seemingly innocent mistakes are viewed to be the most critical of mistakes because they can result in the worst injuries.
So how am I to know when my kid is safe or not?
First, make sure you are using the suitable seat – in the best position — for your baby’s age and weight. Most infant seats can be used in the rear-facing position for children under one year of age who have not yet reached 20 pounds.
For babies that are younger and smaller there are infant only seats that are designed especially for them and are a exceptionally good choice for newborn babies. They offer a good fit and are conveniently small and portable. These infant car seats should only be installed facing the rear of the vehicle and located in the back seat as with all car seats.
If you fancy a seat that will hold your baby as he grows, a convertible seat is another option. These are much bigger and heavier than a regular newborn car seat so they can be used as your kid ages and gets bigger. As with regular infant car seats, these convertible car seats are still to be used in the rear facing position for any child under 20 pounds and under a year old. After your baby reaches 20 pounds and it is their first birthday you can feel safe to turn the car seat around to face the front position. Most convertible seats accommodate children up to 40 pounds.
Proper use of a child’s car seat is an absolute necessity no matter which style you choose. If your car is newer then chances are it will have instructions for car seat installation so you need to pay attention to this as well as the manufacturers instructions on the seat. To be effective, your child’s seat must be buckled into the seat correctly, and the seat must be correctly buckled into your car.
Harness straps seem to be an area of particular difficulty for parents. In order for your kid to be safe, the harness needs to be fitted snugly to your babies chest and in the right slot position. The straps should be in the slots at or below your baby’s shoulders for most infant seats and at or above baby’s shoulders for more convertible seats. That clip that holds the two straps together should be around armpit level and the straps should not be twisted at all. You should always check the owner’s manual to confirm correct placement.
The use of safety belts is also a problem area. Be sure the seat belt follows the appropriate path for the position of the seat and recline the seat at about a 45-degree angle, if possible. A rolled towel under the base helps secure the seat into position. Tighten the seat belt, as needed, to ensure the restraint is secured to your vehicle. If your automobile has a LATCH system, use it according to the specifications of your baby’s seat and those of the vehicle owner’s manual.
Other important seat considerations include seat age and condition. If the car seat that you have isn’t something you purchased brand-new, you can find out the age by looking at the label. Don’t trust the safety of your child in a seat that is more than five years old and doesn’t have any manufacturers instructions along with it. It is critical that all the parts are there and that you know if the seat has been in any accidents. Don’t take a chance on anything you are unsure of.
Another extremely good idea is that if you are unsure about anything make sure that you take the seat to a safety seat technician and have it checked.Your baby’s life may depend on it.
There are many sites on the net to buy car seats for sale. If you are seeking convertible car seats then you will do very well on getting a good price by going to http://babystrollersandcarseats.net/convertible-car-seats.php

Peg Perego Provides World-Class Safety and Style
Peg Perego is one of the world’s top manufacturers of baby strollers and car seats. Peg Perego products are manufactured to the highest safety standards and exported to countries around the world. The Peg Perego brand has been established since 1949, when the founder Giuseppe Perego created his own baby carriage for his second son. Over 50 years later, Peg Perego is still making quality products with an Italian flair. The line consists of 9 stroller models, a multi-functional car seat, and accessory products.
Peg Perego’s standard stroller features include one-hand folding with carry handle, all wheel suspension, unique 5 point “Freedom of Movement” safety harness, and adjustable backrest, leg rest, and seat heights. All Peg Perego strollers have Travel System compatibility, which means that Peg Perego’s car seat can be easily attached directly to the chassis.
Peg Perego’s Pliko P3 Classico is an urban stroller which includes a contoured seat, adjustable handle bars with detachable cup holder, and built-in rear footboard to carry an older child along. The Aria OH stroller includes a single ergonomic handlebar with detachable cup holder, and is a lightweight, more compact urban stroller. Peg Perego’s Si stroller is new in 2009, and is an extremely compact umbrella stroller which is also Travel System compatible!
The Pliko Switch stroller is a lightweight umbrella stroller which has the same features as the Pliko P3, and includes a reversible seat! The stroller seat on the Pliko Switch can easily face forward or backward, and still reclines and folds in either position! Peg Perego’s Uno stroller provides a different option for reversibility; reversible handle bar lets baby face either direction. The Uno includes “Zero Radius Turning” for maximum maneuverability in tight spaces. Peg Perego’s highest-profile stroller is the Skate, a convertible stroller with a seat that can be forward facing or rear facing, and converts from a stroller seat to a bassinet! Simply fully recline the seat back, raise the leg rest, and cover with included leg cover for the perfect carriage!
Peg Perego also has strollers for multiples. The Duette or Triplette SW is an inline stroller with either two or three stroller seats in line, which can also take up to three car seats, and feature a steering wheel for easy maneuverability! Peg Perego’s Aria Twin 60/40 is a dual stroller with a “60” side that can fit a car seat, and a narrower “40” side for an older toddler, and it still fits through standard doorways!
Peg Perego’s car seat is the Primo Viaggo 30/30. The Primo Viaggo can hold an infant up to 30 lbs or 30 inches, and exceeds the most stringent Side Impact Protection testing in the world. It can be attached to any one of Peg Perego’s strollers, as well as strollers of many other brands. The Primo Viaggo includes a LATCH system base, and can be fastened with the LATCH system or with your car’s seat belts. It is available in multiple fabrics, and is one of the safest and most popular car seats in the world.
Peg Perego manufactures strollers and car seats that meet and beat the world’s highest safety standards, and also have a stylish and sophisticated look and incredible comfort. Accessories such as rain covers and stroller diaper bags are available, as well as high chairs and baby bouncers. With Peg Perego products, you can be sure that your baby is traveling in the safest and highest quality conditions available the world over.
